YOU CAN TELL A WOMAN BY HER FRAGRANCE

– This is your scent –

Every evening I read a piece from my favorite book: ‘How to be a Parisian’. Life lessons to become a Parisienne (which I obviously want so badly). For example, the book states that you should find your signature perfume before you turn thirty. Now I am in a luxurious position where I often receive scents and am spraying all sorts of things, but now that I am almost 28, I have decided to look for my signature scent as well. I think I’ve found it, Jo Malone custom-made, but the search is still ongoing.

I recently came across an article on ehow.com about what a scent says about your personality. Six different types were discussed, along with the scents that corresponded to them. So you can look at it in two ways. If you are still searching, then you take your personality into account. Do you think you’ve found it? Then you immediately know which box you are put in. I find it very interesting. And fun. And amusing. So here they are; the six.

Strong women almost immediately choose scents with masculine traits. Strong, powerful, and a bit spicy. In terms of ingredients, you’re looking at leather, wood, and amber. They smell ‘spicy’ due to the masculinity, and all the ingredients are often used in colognes for men. You really don’t have to be afraid that you smell like your husband, because it is often mixed with a flower, making it a bit softer and warmer. A woman who wears this perfume means that you have a strong personality. She is not afraid to ‘play’ with the boys. The big advantage? Well, if you don’t have your perfume on hand, you can just reach for your boyfriend’s beauty shelf.
The scents: Coco by Chanel, Cinnabar by Estée Lauder, Samsara by Guerlain, Vetyver by Jo Malone, Organza Indecence by Givenchy.

The social butterfly is described as a colorful and witty personality. You will wind a man around your fingers with this scent, as the ingredients are usually sweet and loving. I’m talking about scents with apple, passion fruit, and cherries. It can be a bit sweet, but that just means you are social and really enjoy having fun.
The scents: Be Delicious by DKNY, Ralph Wild by Ralph Lauren, L’Exlixer by Nina Ricci, Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture, and Apple Splash by Marc Jacobs.

Wearing oriental-tinged scents makes you adored. These scents often contain roses, patchouli, tonka beans, and musk. You are certainly not afraid to show your sensuality. Women who wear this scent are wild and love to go through life in a sexy way. Or actually, they exude sexiness. So if you want to be noticed, you should spray one of the scents below:
The scents: Opium by Yves Saint Laurent, Angel by Thierry Mugler, The One by Dolce & Gabbana, Shalimar by Guerlain, Gucci Guilty by Gucci, and Dior Addict by Dior.

Elegance is accompanied by a green and fresh scent. Often, these are ingredients like cucumber and green tea. Women who wear this scent are often characterized as no-nonsense, sporty, and love the outdoors. And if you had to attach a clothing style to it, it would be quite casual. Nothing wrong with that, actually very healthy.
The scents: Lime basil & mandarin by Jo Malone, Peace, Love and Juicy by Juicy Couture, Chanel NO. 19, Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden.

The dreamer loves water scents. It often has a ‘marine’ scent and is therefore very light. What personality goes with it? Laid-back, free-spirited, and loving. Often, it is also a very creative type that can lose themselves in reading books, taking walks, and staring at the sky for hours.
The scents: Davidoff Cool Water, Michael Kors Island, Eau Oceane by Biotherm, L’eau par Kenzo by Kenzo, Thierry Mugler Womanity, and L’eau d’Issey by Issey Miyake.

Very feminine, but also very floral. I’m talking about a floral scent with jasmine, lilies, and other fresh flowers. Ultimatively feminine, that is the spirit. And she is proud of it. She radiates and is not afraid to show herself.
The scents: Daisy by Marc Jacobs, Romance by Ralph Lauren, Omnia Amethyste by BVLGARI, and Rose The One by Dolce & Gabbana.
