Kale is in. And not to put in your mashed potatoes with a sausage and a little gravy, but for your breakfast shake. You might think: whaddafuck, but this is really serious business. And by the way, in combination with fruit, you can't even taste the greens.

Kale is full of fiber and that's good for your digestion. It also contains a lot of iron and of course a whole lot of vitamins.

Doutzen, Heidi Klum, Jessica Alba, and our own Ellemieke Vermolen swear by it. Starting the morning with a green smoothie full of vegetables and a bit of fruit is a perfect kickstart to your day. Are you already convinced? Try this smoothie. Guaranteed more energy and a killer body. After half a year of drinking a lot of greens shakes and sweating six times a week in the gym, of course. But this is at least a start.

 Green Magic

  • A handful of kale (you can conveniently buy bags of pre-washed kale at the health food store. Nothing more to do, can go straight into your shake)
  • Half a banana
  • Handful of blueberries
  • Splash of almond milk or coconut water
