Now that I have started an ‘Innerwave detox’, I drink a smoothie twice a day. In the evening, I am lucky to have a delicious, warm soup with lots of vegetables. Yesterday I made cauliflower soup with a splash of coconut milk. Delicious and filling.
In the morning I make a shake with mainly a lot of fruit, but I also add a ‘fat source’ to slow down the sugar absorption for more satiety and energy. Last night I already soaked some chia seeds in a layer of almond milk. It is really important to let them soak first (can also be in water or coconut milk) because otherwise they swell up in your stomach. And you will notice that. You can also use flaxseed or a scoop of lecithin powder as a good fat source. It all sounds a bit creepy, but you actually don't taste it.
I bought a bag full of vegetables and fruit at the market this weekend. What a wonderful moment to unpack everything and put it on my fruit bowl. So much choice!
Today I feel like a mix of banana, mango, almond milk, spinach, and the soaked chia seeds. It's just a bit of a shame that I can only have one glass of this.
What do you need and how do you make it:
- 1/2 mango
- 1 banana
- 1 kiwi
- small handful of spinach
- soaked chia seeds
- generous splash of unsweetened almond milk
Put all the goodies in the blender and just mix it up.
Enjoy!
