Today I have a guest. And that is Lisette Kreischer, an expert in green, conscious living and enjoying. Look, that’s my girl.
Recently her new book was published PlantPower with 96 green recipes for more balance. This book will be my handbook. So much delicious and inspiring. And all plant-based, of course. A lot of vegetables and fruits.
This Beauty Berry Booze shake is one of the super smoothies from her book. You do need to do some shopping for it, but you can use all the ingredients for many other recipes and shakes.
Blueberries are full of antioxidants, vitamins C and E, iron, and much more. They support your digestion and the anthocyanin, the substance that gives the blueberry its beautiful color, also has skin-firming properties. So nice for summer with this beauty shake. Note, the oats need to soak overnight.
Ingredients
- 75 grams of blueberries
- 40 grams of oats
- ½ tablespoon of goji berries
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder
- ½ tablespoon of lemon juice
- ½ tablespoon of sunflower seeds
- 1 banana
- ½ tablespoon of rice syrup
- a pinch of vanilla powder
- 50 ml water
- 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
Combine the oats with the goji berries, sunflower seeds, vanilla, and lemon juice in a bowl, just cover with water and soak overnight. In the morning, soak the chia seeds in a little water for about ten minutes. Then put the banana together with the blueberries, rice syrup, vanilla, the soaked mixture, water, and chia seeds in the blender and blend on high speed until you have a nice smooth and thick smoothie.
Options
- Replace the blueberries with strawberries, blackberries, or raspberries, or add these to the blueberries for a mega healthy shake.
- If you use chia seeds, you can let the smoothie sit a bit longer, then it will turn into a nice pudding.
- Instead of rice syrup, you can use coconut blossom sugar here.
