7 FASHION ILLUSTRATORS

you must follow on Instagram

Once upon a time illustrators were lined up along the runways of fashion shows instead of photographers. That is no longer the case but thank goodness there are still enough illustrators out there that enrich our lives with their creativity and color. For this reason I’ll share my list of inspiring illustrators that are really worth the follow on Instagram.

Garance Doré

On mentioning my idea for this post everyone on my team cried the name: Garance Doré. Duh. I know her as a fashion blogger, photographer but mainly as an illustrator. She really does make the most fabulous illustrations. Very simple, very feminine but so very modish and so very now. Love her style, well everything about her really.

Piet Paris

I assume you know Piet Paris. With the help of his enormous style he manages to form the news into something iconic. Piet Paris is creative director at Harper’s Bazaar. Not that he put down his pen, Thank god he didn’t. We still enjoy an iconic illustration in every issue. And if you want more of him I advise you to buy the book ‘Style-ABC’, everything is wittily illustrated à la Piet, great fun.

Donald Robertson

Robert won a huge prize for his work on Instagram last year, he deserved it. He has fun with fashion and he shows it on his account. Besides Robert has another plus, he’s creative director at Bobbi Brown. I’m a double fan.
@Drawbertson

Nadia Coolrista

Nadia makes real-life sketches of the fashion elite. It’s as if Diana Vreeland and Miroslava Duma will walk right off the paper.

Kate Rodgers

It’s so cool that Kate uses more than a pencil and piece of paper to make an illustration. She uses beads, lipstick, leaves and who knows what else. And she does it well. Way too cool.

Megan Hess

If you make illustrations for each package is provided with a spray of perfume. It makes unwrapping so much more fun. They thought about it, because when opening the bag, the experience begins, and that makes everyone happy. Think about that too. A card or a tag with a, Dior, Tiffany’s, Prada and who knows who else you simply belong in the list of best fashion-illustrators. No question.

Josselin Bijl

I just had to add myself to this list. Because I just love making illustrations and I have aspirations for world domination with everything I put to paper. Therefore I’m on the list. A modest 7th place, quaint huh?
