THE FASHION LABORATORY
In the past few days, we have been shifting agendas here to discuss who would go to which show. There were so many shows that we couldn't manage to be everywhere, so we divided the spoils. Almost every designer showcased their looks, making you almost forget that it's a whole organization, such a show. Because you can be blessed with design talent, putting on a show is another story. Models, the location, technology, hair, makeup, invites, music, decor. To organize a good show, you need to know so much more than just designing. Happily, Vodafone is there to give the new fashion generation a bit of a boost. Vodafone has launched the Vodafone Firsts Fashionlab . It is a laboratory for talent and innovation and is part of Fashion Week Netherlands.
What happens in the laboratory? The main goal is to support young talents on their way to becoming fashion designers and to make their first experience on the professional catwalk possible. Workshops are held, presentations are given, and young designers are advised on the business aspects of their collections. With all this, Vodafone wants to ensure that the new generation also becomes successful fashion designers. Designers who have gone through the Vodafone Firsts Fashion Lab and now work independently include Liselore Frowijn. I know her because she was a guest juror on Holland’s Next Topmodel and the models wore her clothing. So cool that she could showcase this year on the opening night of Fashion Week. Hopefully, we will continue to shift agendas in the coming years to keep looking at all that new beauty. At Vodafone, they often say; Make the most of now. And with that, the red carpet to at least as beautiful a future is laid out. Thank you.
