TRAINING DURING THE LOCKDOWN
I really don't feel like exercising every day. Sometimes I really have to push myself to do it, and sometimes I skip it altogether. If you really, really don't feel like going, why would you punish yourself to go anyway? You know what else you can do? Just do a few workouts at home from the couch. I'll give you a few that are really effective. As long as you do them often enough in a row and don't stop after five minutes. And by the way, if you don't do it for a long time in a row, you'll probably feel like you've done something anyway. Well, that's worth something too.
So we're going to train from, with, and on the couch. Put on a fun series, a music channel or something, or 24Kitchen (my favorite).
- To warm up a bit, you can do two minutes of knee lifts. You know that one, right?
- In any case, a sun salutation can never hurt afterwards. Just look here at how you do that. Make sure you have enough space for it and it's nice to have a mat to use. More comfortable than your carpet.
- You can also easily do some squats and lunges. 20 squats, 20 lunges, and 15 seconds of rest. Then do it again. Do this three times. Take a few heavy books in your hands to make the exercise a bit more challenging. You can just keep pointing your nose at the TV and follow your favorite show. By the way, when you do squats, make sure to touch the couch with your butt.
- Now sit on the edge of the couch with your hands flat beside you on the couch. Your fingers point forward (probably towards the television). Stretch your legs all the way out and lift your butt down towards the floor. Your hands stay on the couch. And with that, you lift yourself up again. Up and down, down and up. Got it? Do this 30 times and then take 15 seconds of rest and then 3 sets. Got it? This is very good for the butt and arms.
- You can also do it with your legs at a 90-degree angle, just look at the picture below.
Well, good luck!
