Advertorial
As you know, I had a serious relationship with Renault Twingo last year a serious relationship with Renault Twingo. Together to Antwerp, together to Paris. But just like real relationships, cars also need replacing sometimes. In my case because there was another one waiting for Twingo. Fortunately, Renault acted as a true relationship mediator and arranged a speed date with a new prospect.
At the AutoRAI (yes, that was where I was for the first time in my life), he was waiting for me. With as a bonus two handsome young men and a personal driver.
I got into the Espace Amethyst Noir (that's a black color with a purple undertone), in the car world purple is the new black after all.
I settled into an armchair that I would also like to have in my home. It has different driving modes depending on your mood. Sporty, relaxed (then it also goes into massage mode) with a matching light plan. Anyway, I will tell you all about that next time. This car also has a magical button that allows you to fold all the seats in the back flat in one go. Just make sure to remove your kids before you press that, okay?
The charming driver placed a 3D camera glasses on my head. To make it all even a bit more charming, a headset went over it. Seatbelt fastened and go. It's just that I knew we were at the RAI and that the head of PR from Renault had told me about this tour. Otherwise, I would have just been in the Jordaan. To my left a street musician, to my right a boy who wanted to take a selfie with himself and this new Espace. The journey continued along the Amsterdamse Bos, the roof opened and the sun warmed my legs. I even smelled some fresh pine scents.
I could look up and back. Everything happened in 3D around me. Dear Reinout Oerlemans, if you read this, you should make a movie with this.
At the end of the tour, I could take off my headset. The driver (to be honest, I didn't know when he stopped the virtual tour and the real one began) pressed a button after which my glove compartment opened. Also, by the way, the largest compartment ever. Inside was a polaroid of me during the tour which, thank the gods, was not even very uncharming.
I would say; if you get the chance to peek into the new Espace, hop on. And I secretly look forward to the summer because then this moving palace will be all mine to have.
