Hoe je je haar doet
– The Elsa from Frozen –
Here at the editorial office, we are all quite captivated by the movie Frozen. In the app group, videos are sent of playback material (you want to see, but I must disappoint you, it stays among us), and the morning often starts with a sing-a-long show between May-Britt and Liesbeth. Fortunately, it doesn't stop there, because there is talk of a real Frozen explosion. In the modeling world, the style of Frozen has truly taken off and Pinterest and YouTube are overflowing with hair tutorials. Ha, that's exactly what we need. Elsa's hair is really cool and turns a prim princess into a princess that rocks. I want it, you want it, we all want it.
What do you need?
A curling iron, volumizing powder, a handy braider among us (or you have to be very skilled yourself), a brush and a can of hairspray. It all looks very loose, but that's precisely the pitfall. Too loose and you'll only enjoy it for a short time. Oh, and don't have long locks like Elsa? That's not a problem, but then you need to work with some extensions or a wig. You won't see it in the end, but it gives a nice and grand effect.
How do you do it?
You can see that in the tutorial below. First, you curl the hair well and then mainly backcomb the top layer. This makes the hair a bit ‘rougher’ and gives it more volume. Elsa has that too. Then you braid all the hair in. It doesn't have to be perfect, but can be a bit looser. So it's not a big deal if a strand falls loose or isn't very neat. Afterward, you pull the braid a bit apart, which gives a fuller effect. Otherwise, at the end, you can pull out some strands on the top of your head. You curl these extra at the ends and casually toss them back on your head. Be sure to secure it with hairspray (or hairpins), because otherwise, it will hang in your face. Ta-da. The new Elsa is you.
