BRUCE JENNER UPDATE

The Kardashians have had quite a few scandals since their rise to fame. In fact, it was Kim's leaked sex tape that once gave the family their own TV series. Yet it seems that the biggest surprise that the first family of reality TV has in store for us is finally at hand: Bruce Jenner is becoming a woman.

For months, there has been extensive speculation in the media, but since this week, the cards seem to have been shuffled. His mother, his children, and the production company of his own docuseries have all confirmed the gender transition to varying degrees. Now we are just waiting for Bruce's own story, who has kept his – now injected – lips tightly sealed until now.

What we know so far:

Bruce's mother has confirmed

Bruce's mother Esther confirmed to RadarOnline.com on Monday that the rumors surrounding her son are true. ’I have recently been made aware of the transition of my son. We had a very long conversation about it.” Mother Jenner admitted that she did not know what kind of inner struggle her son was going through, but that she is ‘prouder than ever of the person he is.’

Interview Diane Sawyer

The big official announcement will take place during a major exclusive interview with American television personality Diane Sawyer and will be broadcast on ABC. According to insiders, the interview is set to be filmed this weekend and likely aired sooner than we think, as the story has largely already come to light.

Docuserie E!

Following the big TV interview, there will be a docuseries in which he will be followed through all the major changes in his life. The series is expected to air on the channel starting in May. E!.

A year ago

Bruce is said to have made his decision to transition to a woman a year ago and consciously chose to undergo subtle changes. This started with the ‘shaving down’ of his Adam's apple months ago, to most recently, filling his relatively modest mouth.

Living as a woman

In the meantime, he is said to have been living full-time as a woman in his home in Malibu for quite some time. Something that is a requirement from doctors and psychologists for the medical gender transition to be carried out. It would at least explain why he always appears in public in sweatpants and a T-shirt, but with a sneaky French manicure peeking out. He only changes when he has to go out on the street. Bruce is reportedly completely ready to assume a new identity. He has supposedly already come up with a new name for himself.

The family divided

The children are said to largely support their father. The relationship with his sons Brody, Brendan, and Burt and daughter Cassandra from a previous marriage is said to be better than ever. Kim Kardashian has also already expressed her support. “We stand 100% behind him. Whatever path he takes, he remains our father.” Kris, however, is said to be less pleased with the situation. She reportedly reacted angrily when Bruce announced the news to the family. She also has nothing to do with the production of Bruce's own new reality show, while she was his manager until recently.
