Carolien takes you along in her week again and she has had quite a treat at a new pop-up restaurant. She also has a new addiction: Genmaicha tea. Are you reading along?
After a year and a half of hard work in the studio, Dio's new album is ready for release! I am a huge fan of his tracks and I jumped for joy when I was able to attend the exclusive album presentation. Sef interviewed ‘the man’ while we all listened attentively to all the songs. I can't wait for its official release in Paradiso at the end of June!
I have been following these young entrepreneurs for three generations now, but after pop-up restaurants Réperé and Foyer, something permanent is coming: Choux. The red building on De Ruijterkade is hard to miss and when you step inside, you feel the same coziness, the same design, and the same quality as at the previous establishments. I really like to share, so in this case, it meant tasting the entire menu with the three of us: and I mean the WHOLE menu... I think I have found the caterers for my wedding :-).
A week in advance, I am already counting down the days to the event of ‘Friends of the Brands’. During this evening, you get to know many new brands in the field of health, beauty & lifestyle. I learned the perfect red lips at PUPA, got to attend a sexy lingerie show from LingaDore, and tested six creams at Darphin. Enough new discoveries to keep me sweet for a while...
I would like to share my new addiction with you: Genmaicha tea. This is a very special green tea mixed with puffed rice, which gives off a lot of flavor. When I first tasted it during a high tea at the Amstel Hotel (twice a year I treat myself to a sugar feast at this location), I wasn't immediately sold. But now I wake up with it and go to bed with it. No, the jar doesn't go to bed with me, but you understand what I mean... You can order this tea online at CiTea Amsterdam, among others.
PR agencies are actually giant candy stores for adults. Every time there are new brands in the showroom that you want to test or borrow for an event. At JAM JAM PR, I stumbled upon these treats: La Bruket and Renard. The former makes care products from my favorite scent lemongrass, and the latter makes beautiful watches designed in Amsterdam. On my wish list: the Renard with a black leather strap and the entire lemongrass line from La Bruket, please. Maybe I can celebrate my 27 and a half birthday on June 23?!
