Carolien has had another busy week. She is, of course, fully engaged in the recordings of Sneekweek and knows how to make good use of the scarce free moments she has. She will definitely tell you all about it here.

Last week it was a madhouse on the set of Sneekweek. We filmed a big party scene, which naturally included 200 partying people, fireworks, and DJs. There was press that came to see how it was going, but around midnight they all sought their beds. We kept dancing until five in the morning, which is actually quite exhausting. Partying for work isn't bad, you would say, but going all night without drinks is pretty tough. Fortunately, the night shoots are still manageable. Five nights and the film will be done.

My free evenings from the past month can be counted on one hand. You understand, they are optimally utilized. Yesterday I had a lovely dinner with actresses Kiki, Sanne, and our mutual L.A. friend Marieke at restaurant Choux. They change their menu every month, so it's a culinary party every time. With two vegetarians, two people with a cow's milk allergy, and one with a gluten allergy, we were by far the most difficult table of the evening, which we of course all blamed on our ‘friend from L.A.’ (even though she was the easiest). But they took everything into account and served one top dish after another. Our dessert was a photo with Marieke's new ‘baby’ named Finn: we all fell in love at first sight.

For years I have been shopping Scandinavian brands like Modström at my favorite store ‘Stijl Maastricht’. When I received the new lookbook from this brand, I couldn't resist taking a ‘quick’ look at the website. And of course, it didn't stop at just looking, you understand. The collection consists again of many sets, which I have quite a weakness for: beautiful printed skirts and matching tops, fake fur bombers in all colors, and suede sets to drool over. This ‘pale purple’ bomber has already been purchased for the new season.

You can't make me happier than with new facial products. I wear very little makeup, but I spend a quarter of an hour every morning and evening cleansing and caring for my skin. Every time my set of products runs out, I try a new brand. So my current collection consists of a combination of Neoderma (the Blue Blood cream is to die for), Absolution (99.91% natural and organic ingredients), and La Mer (do I need to say more?). When I received the invite from Kiehl’s for a skin analysis, I eagerly accepted. I was already a fan of their shampoo and body products, but the facial line was completely new to me. The results of the test indicated a very dry skin, which is certainly the case now due to all the makeup I get during filming. With a bag full of new products, I immediately started applying last night: I'm curious how my skin will feel in a few weeks. To be continued.

While I was sweating on the set in Friesland, I saw all the great photos from Vogue’s Fashion Night Out passing by. In the revamped P.C. Hooft, it seemed to be a great place for all fashion-loving Amsterdam. The perfect opportunity to showcase all the new winter collections to the target audience. I was most disappointed about my absence at the Avelon ‘Trunk show’ in Azzurro Due. Now I already know the collection by heart, but it's always nice to see all the items again. Fortunately, I could enjoy the day after with the photos: I was still a bit there.
