Amayzine

That you can also have a great career even if you don't win Holland's Next Topmodel is shown by Debbie Dhillon. She left for India and scores cover after cover there. Vogue, Grazia, Harper’s Bazaar, name it and Debbie has done it. For Amayzine, she keeps a diary.

Today I had a shoot for Femina Magazine India, the second edition of the March Issue.

I had a blast again with my fellow models and yes, you see it right, I am wearing my Amayzine shirt.

On my way home, I spotted a beautiful image of an elephant that really gave me the yes-you-are-in-India feeling.

That and grocery shopping at the vegetable and fruit street market made the picture completely perfect.

When I got home, I saw a leaf in the shape of a heart lying at the door. I immediately thought of my boyfriend because when I see a heart, I think of love.

In that magazine, there was a report on The New Face Models of India, in which I appear, along with five other models. A whole page for myself, so now all of India knows that I am in town...

Today I went to the gym and finally had time to cook. On the menu were brown chickpeas in a torka, or an Indian basic sauce. I can't make the roti myself here because I don't have the stuff for it, but I bought it somewhere at a little eatery. It turned out to be a very strange roti, really a huge thing. You could wrap it around you like a blanket, it was that big. But it tasted good.

I also had time to make my room a bit cozier. I displayed my things and neatly placed my shoes, including of course a pair of heels.

Today I went to the gym again and otherwise stayed at home. I did some laundry and put on a face mask because you have to take good care of yourself as a model.

Today’s schedule included a casting for a deodorant commercial and a fitting for the Indian clothing brand Chemistry. In the evening, I drank my new favorite tea, sunset dreams, really delicious before going to sleep.

Here in India, they love a party. After Vogue and Grazia, today Harper’s Bazaar threw a party because their Bride magazine is one year old.

When I got home, I immediately did my hair, put on a dress, and then: GO. The party was at the Palladium Hotel in Mumbai, one of the most luxurious hotels in India on a beautiful rooftop terrace overlooking the city. After the event, we received a goodie bag with macarons and a book from which I will draw a lot of inspiration.
