Ups & downs

My dear, I really couldn't get going yesterday and I was a bit grumpy to say the least. And the sun was shining so beautifully. Luckily, by the end of the day, I felt a bit better and even got a burst of energy. It didn't last long though.

I can tell my body is having a hard time with this detox. I'm an experienced detoxer, but only having juices and no supplements, smoothies, or soups is new for me and believe me: it's really hard work. What is funny, though, is that I'm incredibly sharp and writing pieces like a train.

No sporty girl

I really haven't set foot in the gym or gone for a run in Vondelpark. I think about it the night before, but in the morning my body says no no no no. So I just don't. I actually feel like it, but I just really don't have the energy for it. That's understandable, of course.

I can tell, you know

Well, I have to honestly admit that my face really enjoys this, because my breakout has disappeared and everything looks radiant and tight. If I may say so myself. My nails are also doing well (no cracks or hangnails). I don't know, I just notice it. Besides, I feel a lot lighter and that's a pleasant feeling, but yeah, would you find it strange if you only live on juices? A bite of a sandwich with peanut butter and the feeling is gone, I know that and that's not a problem at all. The feeling of resetting your body is just incredibly nice. Not that I normally do anything crazy with food and drink (you know me), but I think a detox can never hurt.

Almost done

Phew, I'm counting down the hours a bit and I feel like just doing normal again. Luckily, I had a busy work week and didn't really have situations where I was very upset that I couldn't snack on anything, but people, I really crave food. I really can't wait until tomorrow, until I can make a plate of scrambled eggs again. Yummy!

How do I feel after these 5 days of detox?

I'll tell you all about it on Sunday, because first I need to finish the day and try to stay away from wine tonight.
