After the premiere of De Surprise, Georgina immediately rolled over to the set of the new film Brasserie Valentijn. The shooting of that has just finished and next week the fittings for another film will already begin. Busy, busy, busy you could say. Does she nothing to do on the weekend, right? have a little time to relax? Let's ask…

After the premiere of De Surprise, you were already on the set of a new film the next day. How do you do that? You have planned a summer vacation, right?

The next day I was free, but how I do that? No idea. Yes, just do it. There are also days in the week that I don't work and then I enjoy time with my daughter. My vacation I haven't planned yet, I only know from today when I am free.

Tell me, how was this week?

I just finished filming Brasserie Valentijn. This week I had some night shoots and I always find that quite tough, because I am shooting until 6 in the morning. That takes its toll, so I'm still recovering a bit from that.

When do you kick off the weekend and where do you do that?

That varies quite a bit, because I often work too. The cleaner always comes on Friday, so that's a sign for me that the weekend has started.

What does your Saturday look like?

Let me check my agenda. I always prefer to look at my agenda as late as possible.

Ah! Coincidentally, I am free on Saturday and Sunday. Then I know that around three o'clock I will have a glass of wine Secretly, I really want to go see De Surprise in the cinema, to watch and listen to how the audience reacts. That's of course very different from the premiere, but I just don't know if I dare, and by the way, it might also be a bit strange to look at your own face.

And Sunday?

On Sunday, I might go for a few days to Paris, because I am free for a few days in a row.

What kind of music is played in the Verbaan household?

At the moment, I am completely into Puccini. Recently, I went to the Concertgebouw and Eva-Maria Westbroek performed a piece by Puccini there. Since then, I've been listening to everything. Furthermore, I usually listen to soul or 90’s hits and when I'm home, Radio 1 is on.

And do you cook yourself on the weekend or do you often eat out?

On Saturday evenings, I am usually with my little daughter. We occasionally go out to eat, at friends' places or out. I don't consider myself a great cook, but my daughter is a big fan of my pasta dishes.

Suppose you don't have to consider anything and practical things like money and time difference don't matter. What does your ideal weekend look like?

Wow, hanging out a bit in Bali on Saturday and going to NYC on Sunday. In Bali, I would enjoy eating and lying on the beach, of course. In New York, I will explore the city.

And, what time does the alarm go off again on Monday?

Next week will be quiet. We just finished Brasserie Valentijn and on Thursday I will only start with the fittings for a new film again. On Monday, I have nothing, unless I go to Paris, of course. I think I will get up at 9 and plan to go work out. Let's see if I can stick to that.
