Colored makeup

this way it stays on longer

As you know, I'm not averse to a bright color here and there. What I am averse to is when it comes off in no time at all. Fortunately, I have my tricks for that.

Concealer is your best friend

And not just for those terrible dark circles. Apply it everywhere you want to play with color. Above your eyes and on your lips, for example. This way, your eyeshadow and lipstick stay on all day long. Looks good.

Foundation too

Foundation not only helps to cover up imperfections, but your bronzer also applies faster and lasts longer. It's important that you really have the right color, so always test it on your hand first.

Nude eyeshadow

If you're going for a bright color on your eyes, make sure to apply a nude base color first. The Cream Shadow from M.A.C is an eyeshadow and primer in one. It keeps the color on longer and also prevents your eyeshadow from settling into the creases.

Use brushes

Another reason not to use your hands. The oil on your fingers causes your makeup to last less long. So just use a brush for everything. Just do it.

Fixeer het

Think of it as hairspray for your face, because a fixing spray really helps to maintain your colorful (and regular) makeup. The one from Clarins also smells deliciously of rose water. Yum.
