HOE JE JE HAAR DOET

– Crown Braid –

Last week we spotted Erin Heatherton, formerly one of the Angels, with a beautiful, large braid on her head. Also known as the crown braid. Or, more fun in English, the crown braid. Now it has also been seen a few times at the shows, so it's high time we find out how to make such a braid. It looks damn difficult, but it's really far from that.

What do you need?

A couple of bobby pins and a can of hairspray. It looks tricky, but I can assure you: it can be quite messy. Otherwise, it becomes such a neat braid on your head, while the intention is to have it loose and messy. You also don't necessarily need very long hair for this. If you have short hair, but long enough to braid, some strands might stick out, but that only makes the effect more fun.

How do you do it?

First, divide the hair in two. If you can divide it neatly, you can also divide it naturally, because in the end, you won't see much of it due to the messy effect. Just make sure the hair is somewhat evenly distributed in thickness, otherwise, you'll have a huge lump on one side of your head and a small thin braid on the other side. You can spray the hair a bit with beach spray beforehand. It makes braiding easier, holds better, and gives the hair an immediate rough texture. Then you start braiding. Just a normal braid, you don't need to work with multiple strands. You eventually take the ends of the braids and work them towards each other on the head. With bobby pins, you secure the braids. Then you pull some strands loose with your fingers. Tadaaa, Heidi braid 2.0. braiding Last week we spotted Erin Heatherton, formerly one of the Angels, with a beautiful, large braid on her head.
