KISSABLE WINTER LIPS IN FIVE STEPS
One thing I really dread in winter is those cracked, chapped, and dry lips. Extremely annoying and actually just very painful. Now I don't have much trouble with that, because I'm still in the South African summer vibes, but here at the office, lip balm is a key item that everyone is very busy with. How do you solve it? Apply. And scrub.. And eat healthily. Just a guide to get through winter happily and kissably.
Dry lips are just very annoying. You give your skin a scrub and everything is soft and shiny again, so why not do the same for your lips? Exactly. Now I would really skip the scrub cream because it doesn't taste nice and is also a bit harsh. With a toothbrush, you can achieve the same effect and simply brush away the loose flakes and dry spots. Do it gently though. The skin on your lips is of course extremely thin and you don't want to end up with a bleeding mouth.
I have already told you before that coconut is particularly good for hydrating. Your legs become extremely shiny and smooth from it, and even your hair looks better. You understand: it does wonders for your lips too. Coconut has a moisturizing property that nourishes your lips so well that cracks disappear immediately. A nice bonus is that it smells good.
I am definitely an advocate of products with a nice scent or a fun color, but for the lips, I would keep it as natural as possible. Coconut, for example (which I mentioned above) works very well. Moreover, those products often work very well because they are so pure. They can simply do their job without being distracted by other unnecessary ingredients. Now, there are also less natural products that have the right ingredients, of course. Just check the packaging. If it contains ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter, or jojoba oil, then you know your lips are going to be very happy.
Even in the winter, the sun shines. A lip balm with SPF is therefore never an unnecessary luxury.
By applying, you solve a lot. But eating healthily does too. Vitamins found in fruits and green vegetables, are full of water and that naturally hydrates the lips. Cracked and chapped lips start with dehydration, and you solve that this way.
