Mijn vriend en ik hebben een weddenschap gesloten dat we een hele maand niets zouden kopen. Wat een uitdaging. Het ging allemaal verrassend goed totdat Jet en Liesbeth iets postten over een Shoebaloo-outlet. Voor mij was dit als een wortel voor een paard. Dus als onderdeel van de uitdaging ging ik naar de winkel om te zien of ik de verleiding kon weerstaan. Dat kon ik niet. Het resultaat? Deze KENZO tas. ‘Ik had echt een nieuwe tas voor mijn laptop nodig’, was mijn ietwat schuldige uitleg aan mijn vriend. Ja hoor…

De rest van wat je ziet is al een tijdje van mij; de broek is van Citizens of Humanity. De blouse is van H&M, het vest van River Island en de schoenen, van &Other Stories, waren een verjaardagscadeau van mijn vriend. (Nee. Telt niet als een nieuwe aankoop).

Vanaf nu koop ik echt niets meer. Ik beloof het. Wacht. Heb je deze schattige hakken gezien?. Ze kosten bijna niets....

I had a meeting with my friend to not buy anything for a month. Just as a kind of challenge. It was going wonderfully until Jet & Lies posted something about the new Shoebaloo-outlet. Look, then you plant a seed in me. As an ultimate test sneaked I to the store to see if I could resist all the goodies. The not so surprising answer resulted in this Kenzo– specimen. “I really needed a new laptop bag”, I pleaded somewhat sinfully to my boyfriend. Yeah right…

Well, the rest I had already ‘for a while’. The pants from Citizens of Humanity I bought this winter at one of my favorite stores in my hometown Nijmegen. No, that province is not so bad after all. In fact; I often don’t even score the best items from my closet in Amsterdam. The blouse is from H&M and the vest from River Island. The shoes from & Other Stories I recently received from a girlfriend for my birthday. So that doesn’t even count as a new purchase.

From now on I really won’t buy anything anymore. Although, I just see very nice mules passing by for a pittance...
