Beautiful with Dior

Friday was the Look of the Year awards and that gave us quite a few headaches beforehand. Which outfit, which heels, and what kind of makeup would we wear? A little gift was a week earlier the phone call from Jacqueline, the prettiest lady from Dior, who asked if we would like it if Wim Thompson, International makeup artist from Dior, would take care of our looks. That took away a bit of the headache and worry.

It turned out to be good that Wim had laid out his fee for us that afternoon. May-Britt seemed calm itself, but Liesbeth, Jet, and I had to also present an award and were quite nervous. Quite nervous in this case is synonymous with; feeling sick, shaky knees, dry mouth, and stuttering breaths. If we had to apply eyeliner ourselves, it would surely have become a trembling line and sticking on a fake eyelash would definitely have gone wrong. A warm welcome for Wim then.

Beachy look

Our outfits were neatly hanging on a hanger and together with Wim we came up with a suitable makeup look. Liesbeth went for beachy. She mainly wanted to look very fresh. After running around in Paris for a week, she came back feeling quite sick and to last through the evening she needed not only three paracetamol but also a very fresh appearance to compensate. Nude Air, Sérum de Teint, from Dior provides the solution. A drop gives you a soft finish and conceals a dull complexion. You understand that Jet, May, and I also became very greedy because even without a week of running around in Paris, we desperately needed that complexion to get through the evening flawlessly.

Holy Smokey

Since I had my bangs cut the day before the party , Wim needed to advise me on a makeup look. Because bangs have quite an impact on your face and a new look is necessary for that. That necessity was transformed into a, dramatic smokey . While I usually prefer au naturel, I now went for the rock chick herself. It took some getting used to, but Wim was right. With bangs, your eyes should pop. It became blacker than black, a hefty eyeliner, and some fake eyelashes to make everything much grander. And I was happy. Because after a few hours, it still looked like minute one and I have never received so many compliments and winks. Who those winks were from, I’ll keep to myself for now.. Glow

and actually wanted that too. Wim quickly replicated that. A bit of shine on the eyes, a bit of shine on the lips. We had that shine on our lips all evening, as we all received a Rouge Dior Brillant from Dior to touch up our lips between glasses of wine and our chats. And god, we were thrilled with that because all the glosses have an incredibly beautiful and intense color and a shine that is impressive. Hilary Duff How our final looks turned out?
