The make-up bag of Tanne Gielen

Tanne is the PR and communication princess of Hugo Boss. So she already has that cool job in her Boss pocket. With her positive and energetic vibe, she has an enormous attraction and is that girl everybody loves. Put her and me in a room and people think we are miming. Tanne's arms fly around in her enthusiasm in every direction. As if I am looking at myself. Tanne's signature look is characterized by her sleek bangs and her always brightly colored pink lips. By now you know that I love bold colors, so I suspect I will be very happy with this make-up bag.

Tanne: “Indeed, my lipstick is very characteristic and actually it happened by chance. A few years ago, I was on a press trip to Paris and met a makeup artist who was convinced that I had a perfect lipstick mouth. ‘Yeah right,’ I thought. But when he applied a bright pink color, I was sold. Now I've been walking around with a striking mouth for ten years, haha. Without lipstick, I feel bare and boring, also because my clothes are usually black. I think I have about seventeen pieces of my favorite lipstick, the Candy Yum Yum from M.A.C., lying around. The funny thing is that by always wearing lipstick, I have also developed habits. I usually drink with a straw and bite in a way that keeps my lipstick as intact as possible.”

Pink lip, here I come!

Jeez, what a huge thing. This is the largest and heaviest specimen so far. This YSL make-up bag looks like a candy store. I see a lot of M.A.C. products, brushes, perfume, lip pencils, and even Chanel nail polish. This woman may focus on her mouth, but all other areas are certainly represented. I am as happy as a child!

I start applying the eye serum from Philosophy. Gives me a slightly fresher look. I stumble upon a chic-looking bottle from YSL, namely the Youth Liberator. This also spreads so nicely. Tanne uses the Miss Manga volumizing mascara from L’Oréal. After two strokes, I have a full set of lashes. Hooray! Tanne uses the same foundation and color from M.A.C as I do. I apply this with a foundation brush from the same brand. I spritz myself nicely with Tanne's fragrance Philosykos from Diptyque. A fruity summer scent that I really like. I saved the best for last (I always do that with steak): the Candy Yum Yum from M.A.C. lipstick. Ta-da! Wow, this is really my color. Beaming, but also a bit with pain in my heart, I hand the bag back to Tanne. Now let's hope I can keep this amazing candy color on for the whole evening.

Once again, this bag is a-ma-zing. It meets all my beauty needs and I would totally take this over from Tanne for free. Tanne has sleek bangs, so I can't blame her for the lack of a nice eyeliner or eyeshadow. When I look at Tanne, I indeed think that makeup artist was right about her lipstick mouth back then. That's why I would also like to see her in a red shade. And then I will secretly steal that from her...
