MEET OUR NEW COLLEAGUE

– Nola the editorial assistant –

Now that half the editorial team is hopping from fashion show to fashion show peeking backstage or sipping a glass of champagne, we, the stay-behinds, are here typing neatly at the office. Fewer people means working even harder, so we quietly posted a vacancy for an editorial assistant. There is simply no time left for unpacking packages, making tea, and posting letters. Fortunately, this morning a very enthusiastic lady was waiting at the door, who couldn't wait to do her trial day. te draaien.

Meet Nola. Our new editorial assistant. She is my favorite Lilian's dog, who was quite in a panic due to the lack of a babysitter and thus brought her to the office. Now you probably know that we would like a baby editorial piglet, because Liesbeth wrote a plea for that and I stalk my colleagues with videos, and this seems like a great solution for the entire editorial team to get used to a new colleague. So it all came together quite nicely.

The day started for Nola somewhat grumpy, because of traffic, so later on her first day, but since the friendship between me and Nola runs deep, that grumpiness quickly turned around and we forgave her immediately. Our publisher fueled the enthusiasm, as he also transformed from a tough but fair businessman to a cuddly editorial friend when Nola introduced herself wagging her tail. It makes sense, because Nola has an incredibly high cuteness factor with her snorts, which means laughter, and her little paws that sound so nice on this white floor. She's basically just a little piglet with the face of a tough dog.

Besides being incredibly cute (which is great at Amayzine HQ), she also works very hard. She helped me unpack packages, we had lunch together, took a walk for inspiration, sniffed at the latest scents for the necessary Tried & Tested sections, and cuddled for the social factor within the team. So I really find her an incredible addition that I could really use.

I've had many interns before and they have all been very valuable to me, but this editorial assistant is truly worth her weight in gold. Just that little patter with her sweet paws brings enthusiasm and drive, and everyone will type a lot faster because of her. I suggest she comes for a second trial day when everyone is back from NY, May also gets to immerse herself in Nola's love, and then immediately gives her a 25-year contract. Because Nola did a good job and it can't be otherwise than that everyone agrees with me. So Nola, thank you very much and see you soon!

P.S.; this does not mean that Nola will replace the editorial piglet. Together they will become the best friends and I think they will eventually grow into editor-in-chiefs of Animayzine.com (animal + Amayzine, you get it). A site that will only increase Amayzine's world domination.
