Daisy Oppelaar started a few years ago ilovehealth.nl and now has so many visitors every day that she could have never dreamed of. The site is full of recipes, healthy tips, workout exercises, and if you want nutritional advice, you can feel free to email her. In the past few months, she moved her office to Bali, which allowed her to upload one envious photo after another on Instagram and write many inspiring posts. A girl after my own heart. Now she is back (super tanned) in the Netherlands and has a ton of nice (healthy) plans in the works, so she is incredibly busy. For Amayzine, she wanted to pull out her “business bag” for a moment, because usually, it’s just a sports bag with sneakers and tights. You understand that.
How many bags do you have?
“I’m clearly not a collector: I think I have about five in total.”
How did you get this one?
“No exciting shopping adventure… Most of them I just bought in Amsterdam or online – I’m more of an online shopper, actually.”
What does a bag do for a woman?
“It completes your outfit and gives you a certain style. With my chunky leather Cowboys bag, I feel very different than with my ‘business’ bag where my laptop goes.”
What about the contents? Are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?
“I think it’s definitely the first category. No dirty papers and clutter, but nothing has a fixed place. It goes in the bag just like that. And when I need it, it’s a lucky grab.”
And should a bag also be practical?
“Yes, definitely for me. I find it annoying if it’s too small. My laptop has to fit in there. First, I look at ‘pretty’, then at ‘can everything that needs to fit in there fit.””
What do you always have with you in your bag? There must always be some (healthy) snacks in there?
“Phone and wallet are standard. Usually, I also have a bottle of water and an apple with a bag of nuts so I don’t have to buy snacks from the terrible selection at an average station or gas station.”. Lately, I also have chlorella tablets in my bag that I take after every meal. I am currently doing the Innerwave detox. Chlorella has a detoxifying effect on your body. Additionally, it contains a lot of protein and boosts your immune system.”
And what if you sometimes indulge?
Fries! Not those soggy fries you can get on every street corner, but those delicious fries with the skin still on and perfectly fried.
