Sophie Verbeke ensures that the Benelux becomes a bit healthier, as she brings the detox-delight juices to the people. Or women. She does this on a heel and always with this Prada on her arm.

 How many (designer) bags do you have?

“Should I answer that honestly? A lot. I have never counted them. They have all been used at least once. I regularly use a small selection (about ten bags). When I go on vacation, I always take a selection of bags with me. I usually use my clutches for a party.’’

 And how did you get this beauty?

“I have had this bag for a long time. The bag was partly financed by a bet between me and my boyfriend. What kind of bet it was, I’ll keep that private.’’

 And, do you always have a juice in the bag?

“Not always, but often yes.”

 What does a bag do for a woman in your opinion?

“For me, a bag is a fantastic accessory to complete my outfit. What I don’t like is that women use bags as a status symbol. My collection of bags is quite large, but I really see them as accessories. I also don’t like bags with the brand name very prominently displayed. That’s one of the reasons I’m such a fan of Prada and Chloé.”

 Are you a bit careful with the bag or do you sometimes throw it in the corner?

“At first yes, now I’m much less careful. It is of course a beautiful bag, but it remains a utility item and yes, I do throw it around sometimes.’’

 And what about the contents? Are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?

“I am quite organized. I can find things back in there. The inside consists of one compartment. My makeup bag is in there and a separate bag for my business cards. My keys are just lying loose in there and then there’s a little pocket for my phone.”

 If a woman could only have one bag, which would it be?

“That’s an impossible question. If my house were on fire and I could only take one bag, it would be my Chloé Marcie. Even though I don’t think I could survive with just one bag.”

 Should a bag also be practical?

“A bag for during the day should be, it just needs to fit the necessary things. For evening bags, I care a bit less about that.’’

 And lastly, is there one on your wishlist?

“My heart has been longing for the Miss Dior by Christian Dior for a while.’’
