The last day of our tour de Milano is a fact. At the moment of writing, I am in an incredibly romantic courtyard, surrounded by high walls that most resemble an old palace, around me are marble tables with white tablecloths, silver cutlery sparkling in the sun, and male waiters in white aprons serving the terrace silently.
We started the day with a meeting at Tosca Blue, the brand for stylish yet affordable bags and shoes. The next meeting is in the showroom of Blumarine and Blugirl. A brand that we have always found very beautiful and nice, but now that we were so close to the collection, the spark really ignited. I will tell you all about it on Saturday because the lookbook is to die for.
May had enthusiastically put on her highest Jimmy Choos but they were starting to hurt quite a bit, so we diverted to the Patrizia Pepe store for some relief. White leather espadrilles provide light at the end of the tunnel and the Jimmy’s go into the bag as punishment. Luckily, my L.K. Bennett’s are so broken in (and worn) that I can manage for days, and with renewed courage in our feet, we walk a short distance to a restaurant for lunch.
Il Salumaio then, where I started this piece. In the meantime, we have moved again because we really wanted to sit in the sun for a bit, so we went back to the courtyard of the Diana Majestic where we lie again in our favorite baskets with laptops on our laps. And of course, a glass of white on the left.
We are almost wrapping up all our articles for this week and summarizing the appointments and meetings. It was a successful trip, we conclude, and we toast to it once more. And then we get back in the taxi, back to our incredibly nice hotel and finally, after a quick outfit change, head towards the airport.
By the way, we did that by bus, for ten euros per person you can get from Milan Central to Malpensa in 50 minutes, so if you have a weekend in Milan on the menu soon, you know what to do. Ciao Milano, see you in September.
