Last week I spent a day in The Hague and that's where Michelle lives, you know, the one with those incredibly beautiful earrings that Liesbeth here and here wears. Michelle is about to conquer the world with her jewelry line Miccy’s, but luckily she still had a spot available and I got to take a look in her beautiful studio. Earrings, bracelets, scarves in the most beautiful summer colors. A real candy store. And so incredibly organized. Thousands of drawers, everything by color, everything so clean and tidy. My eye fell on a brand new Zadig & Voltaire and I wanted to talk about it.

How many designer bags do you have?

About six.

Tell me something about this beauty.

I really love the brand Zadig & Voltaire. It's a wonderfully practical bag that can be matched with many different styles. The bag is just like Miccy’s fashionable, nice and big, of good quality, not overly flashy, you don't pay a fortune and it's easy to match with different styles.

I see that your house is insanely clean and tidy, are you also like that with your bags?

Are they all in a dustbag?

I am very careful with my belongings. All bags that have a dustbag are neatly packed in it. They are neatly arranged in a closet by type of bag: shopper, clutch, and crossbody.

Wow. The contents must also be insanely organized?

Indeed yes. I also have a bag in bag so I can easily transfer everything at once to another bag.

What do you always have with you?

A wallet, a “ridiculous card holder”, an EpiPen for my nut allergy, Dior lip gloss Sunlight, house and studio keys, Miccy’s business cards, Kilian travel spray containing “Straight to Heaven” and of course two extra pairs of earrings. You never know who you might meet or if you can switch them out in between. I often have friends calling me just as I'm running out the door for a party, asking if I can bring a couple of earrings for them to complete their outfit.

Do you prefer trendy or classic?

I can appreciate both trendy and classic. Which bag I choose strongly depends on the outfit and the event. But to be very honest, I always have a lack of space with clutches, even though they look beautiful.

You haven't had this bag for long, but is there already a new one on your wishlist?

Yes, a “gun” bag from Vlieger & Vandam and a Balenciaga “City of Town” in a nice bright color. Cobalt blue, bright green, yellow, and coral red all seem like really cool colors to me.
