5 X sports items
for in your suitcase
I'm going on a trip and I'm bringing. Wherever I go, I always start by packing my sports clothes and training shoes. Liesbeth would say to me: “Yes hello, aren't you on vacation?”, but actually a bit of sports is relaxation for me and I explore a city best during an hour of jogging. I understand that you don't want to pack your suitcase too heavily with sports gear, but I’ll give you a few items with which you can create a decent workout.
Good shoes
You have enough nice shoes that you can also wear during the day (don't let May hear this by the way), so that saves space in your suitcase. But good footwear is very important for a good workout. So take them with you.
Jump rope
10 minutes of jump rope (sounds short, but it's really long and you will definitely have muscle pain. Doutzen does this 35 minutes in a row) and you’ve already completed your daily vacation workout. It's good for your fitness, fat burning, and you'll get nice slim, toned legs from it. This can be done outside or in your hotel room. Just keep your downstairs neighbors in mind.
Earplugs
I actually always have them with me. Handy for the (hotel) gym or for a run.
Yoga towel
If you want to attend a yoga class somewhere, it's always nice to have your own towel. This is a special towel that you can fold very small and you place it over a yoga mat. Also, if there is no mat or if you have a yoga class on the beach or something, you take this with you.
A gym stick or resistance cable
This is a type of elastic cable that you can also easily roll up in your suitcase. You can do very easy exercises with it for your legs and arms. Come on, elastic around your legs and do lunges for example.
