At the moment I am typing this piece, it is storming and raining. And not just a little...

I don't know anyone who gets happy from a shower, but for the average fashion follower, rain is a disaster, especially if you're not prepared for it. Your hairstyle ruined, a runny nose, smudged makeup, and your carefully chosen look completely gone. Of course, an ugly water-repellent monster in the form of a raincoat or poncho is not among the options, so read on quickly if you want to arm yourself a bit stylishly against unwanted wetness.

Heels in the rain are not ideal, but if you really can't do without them, be careful that your soles are not slippery. The last thing you want is to fall flat on your face. The most practical are shoes with a non-slip sole or a profile sole.

Rain boots are a better alternative in this case. Until recently, rain boots were not exactly seen as fashionable. They were more for people who worked outdoors on the land or in the garden. Until Kate Moss started wearing Hunter Boots. After Kate was seen in them, sales skyrocketed so quickly that a waiting list was opened.

Of course, you spray your suede shoes with a protective anti-rain spray, but even then, wearing suede is not advisable. Besides getting wet, your shoes get dirty, and with suede, stains can be permanent...

The classic trench coat is of course perfect for rainy weather. I don't know if you've looked at the new collections yet, but this year Burberry has again released some fantastic variations on the traditional model.

Bad weather is often quite depressing, so why not consciously add a bit of color? The easiest way to do this is in the form of an umbrella. By the way, did you know that a warm color also gives a better appearance to your face (green and blue make you look gray and cold)?

The real star among rainwear is from Miu Miu (fall 2014 collection). Colorful transparent jackets and boots that will undoubtedly be copied by commercial brands.

Finally, attention to beauty, because with the right hair care products and cosmetics, you can prevent a lot of misery.

Use an anti-frizz serum or hairspray to keep your hair somewhat styled. When it rains, the air is extra humid, and with the right products, your hair stays in shape.

Wear waterproof mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow. Especially waterproof mascara is an absolute necessity on a rainy day.

If possible, prefer liquid foundations and blush on a rainy day instead of powders.
