Perfume in your belly button?
If I don't wear perfume, I feel incomplete, even butt naked. I was already on my way to the office yesterday when I realized along the way that I had forgotten my favorite scent. Waaa, panic. Because I also couldn't find the makeup bag with miniatures in my handbag. Hit the brakes and back home I went. Relieved, I spritzed some Chanel on my neck, hair, wrists and belly button.
You read that right, my belly button (sounds a bit gross, sorry) smells the best these days. I read some time ago that Liv Tyler uses this trick because it makes her feel more one with her body, and her father Steven taught her to spray perfume on places where your body gets warm. This supposedly holds the scent longer. Quite some wisdom for such an old rocker. And since I find Liv one of the sexiest women of all time and I take everything she does, I have adopted the habit since then. If we also add Coco Chanel's credo that ‘you should spray where you want to be kissed’, then the choice for this spot is completely justified.
Other spots
There are some less obvious places to let your favorite scent be smelled. For example, you can apply a few drops to your lower back, as this gives off a subtle scent throughout the day. Too much on your wrists could cause a fainting spell, and you don't want that, nor does your surroundings. Another spot is the inside of your elbow, which also provides a lighter aroma. You can also choose to spray some behind your knees. The friction of your legs causes the scent to suddenly be released. Also at the end of the day.
