come on, let's go!

Okayyyy the weather is pretty nice this weekend in the Netherlands, but when you see these idiotically beautiful hotels, you want to CROSS the border IMMEDIATELY. Just watch.

What: Country Estate Vaeshartelt

Where: Maastricht, Limburg, Netherlands

Cost: From €95,- p/n instead of €219,- p/n

What you get: Stay in a Comfort Plus room, breakfast, a glass of prosecco per person, one stay at Holland Casino Valkenburg

And further: Okay okay, this isn't really over the border, but it's close to the border. This historic castle is a 5-minute drive from Maastricht and how nice Maastricht is, Jet has already told you here once. You sit like a little princess in the knight's hall and are surrounded by green green green outside, so this is, in our opinion, the perfect destination for a (short) vacation in your own country.

What: Grand Hotel Amrath Kurhaus

Where: The Hague, Netherlands

Cost: From €119,- p/n instead of €184,- p/n

What you get: Stay in a Superior room, breakfast, free use of minibar

And further: And okayyyyy, this one is also in your own country, but right by the sea and that always feels incredibly foreign, doesn't it? This hotel doesn't need much explanation as it is already world-famous. Also with real celebrities by the way. Winston Churchill, Mikhail Gorbachev, Audrey Hepburn, and Jon Bon Jovi once spent a night here. You have the sea at your doorstep, the beach under your feet, and the sun on your nose. So nothing more to add.

What: Château Le Cagnard

Where: Cagnes-sur-Mer, France

Cost: From €114,- p/n instead of €143,- p/n

What you get: Stay in a Deluxe room, breakfast, free wifi, free parking

And further: Um, have you seen the photos? How much more persuasion do you need exactly to book this enormous and incredible place? Maybe the fact that you're close to Nice? In a renovated 13th-century castle? Or the idea that many artists and painters used to retreat to this town to create their famous artworks? Just to name a few.
