SPORTING AND A BUSY LIFE
can go hand in hand
“I really need to exercise, but I don't have time.” I always think that's bullshit. You can make time; it just depends on how important you think it is. Would you rather stay in bed longer or sit at the table with friends and wine after work? Both are fine, but there's always time to hit the gym. You know you'll be even more stressed if you're busy and haven't exercised. A little training just makes you happy, and that helps you feel better. So, exercising with a busy life (even if you don't have more than 24 hours in your day) is possible, and I'm going to tell you how.
set your alarm earlier
Just a quarter of an hour; it really only takes 15 minutes to set that alarm earlier. 15 minutes of your day. Take the 7-minute workout and do it twice in a row. Just hop out of bed. You'll be done in no time. Then hop in the shower, get dressed, and head to work.
exercise in the morning
I can definitely recommend exercising in the morning. This way, you start your day energized and happy. So, dare to set your alarm earlier than usual. I understand that you can't go to bed earlier either, because you need that time, but try to go to sleep IMMEDIATELY when you lie down in bed. Put your phone away, turn off the TV, and set the iPad aside. That will keep you busy for another hour under the covers anyway. So, get up an hour earlier and go for a run in the neighborhood. Just step out your door, and you're immediately at the gym.
schedule shorter workouts
Don't feel like a workout has to last forever. If you're busy, schedule short workouts of half an hour. A run, for example, where you do exercises along the way. You'll be back home within half an hour.
make a plan
Make a plan. Then work, then exercise, then meet friends. It's a bit of fitting and measuring. In the time you spend chilling on the couch at home, you could have also gone for a walk. Don't get me wrong; relaxing is also very important, but the point is that there really is time to exercise. If you want that, of course.
Take the stairs
And oh yes, always take the stairs instead of the elevator. And ride your bike instead of taking the tram or bus. But you already do that, of course.
