Symmetrical eyebrows

how do you do that?

This is what I love most about being a beauty editor at Amayzine: answering questions from our loyal readers. For example, Miriam asked us how to create beautiful symmetrical eyebrows brows without looking like a clown from a Stephen King horror movie. No more worries, Miriam, I will lovingly explain how to stay away from scary movies.

Start and finish

Ideally, your eyebrows should start at the same point as the inner corner of your eyelid. So if you hold a pencil (or thin object) at your eyelid, you know where to start drawing, and it will be even on both sides. You do this trick with the end of your eyebrow as well, but this time you hold the pencil at an angle instead of straight up.

Brush

Take an eyebrow brush and comb your hairs upwards a bit.

Light pencil

Then take a lighter eyebrow pencil and carefully draw the bottom of the eyebrow first, and then the top. You determine the shape of the eyebrow, and if you accidentally make a mistake, you can easily remove it.

Dark pencil

Now you can go over the light line with a dark pencil. If you are blonde, choose a color that is about two shades darker. Brunettes should go for two shades lighter. The shape of the eyebrow is now set.

Filling in

You fill in with special eyebrow powder or dark eyeshadow in the same color as the last pencil. Make sure to color neatly within the ‘lines’ to maintain that beautiful shape.

Highlighting

To accentuate your now symmetrical eyebrows, you can go over your arches with a light powder or concealer (but apply it thinly) and add some above your eyebrow. This will also remove any smudged eyebrow powder.

Blending

I personally don't like very sharp lines, so I use a regular powder brush to blend the color a bit. This creates a natural effect.

, my mother chose the eyebrow pencil. Now we are still softly dreaming about that amazing body cream and my mother is fantasizing

You keep your eyebrows in shape all day by applying a clear gel over them.
