As the right hand of Danie Bles, she is surrounded all day by incredibly desirable outfits, dresses celebrities like Natasja Froger and Katja Schuurman, and is constantly on the run to spot the latest trends. While for some, Saturday morning starts with sleeping in, stylist Noelle Baartmans always starts her Saturday at eight o'clock to -yes really- continue making outfits for the next work week. Yes, even after those cocktails on Friday night.

Almost weekend! Have you had a busy week?

“Yes, we had the fitting of Anna Nooshin who will be joining RTL Boulevard for the very first time tonight as a lifestyle expert, and of course, she has to look her best. Furthermore, I have taken care of Natasja Froger's wardrobe again and made it ready for winter. And not to forget, we are now also dressing Katja Schuurman for her TV program Bodyscan. Very nice, because that is a mix between bohemian and western, a style that I personally find very cool.”

When does your weekend start? And what does it look like?

“My weekends are always very different: sometimes I go away for a few days to Paris, but dining out is also a perfect start to the weekend. Tonight, I’m going out to eat with friends at Happyhappyjoyjoy. I love Asian food; I lived in Hong Kong and Singapore for ten years, so I can still enjoy it immensely. And yes, then we will also enjoy some cocktails afterwards.”

You wake up on Saturday morning, and what does your day look like?

“Sleeping in is not an option for me because I always wake up early! Even if I danced until midnight the night before, I can't sleep past eight the next morning. I am just always very busy and active, so I usually just go through clothing sets for the rest of the week. Besides that, I also love to keep myself busy with decorating my house and creating those nice little corners. My life revolves around my work but actually also always around styling at home.”

Do you cook on the weekend?

“Yes, cooking is really my hobby. Tomorrow I am going to cook for the whole family and I will go to the market to do some good shopping. That is really my thing. This weekend it will be Israeli and I am going to make stuffed eggplants with lamb mince, a recipe from the cookbook ‘Jerusalem’ by Yotam Ottolenghi.”

Do you allow your work in the weekend a bit or are you completely offline?

“No, I am actually working non-stop. I just like to be busy and I enjoy my work, so I am online even on the weekend.”

How do you ensure that you fully relax on the weekend after a busy week?

“Exercising is for me the ultimate way to relax. Then I immediately follow it up with a sauna session and a nice bonus: the phone is also out of reach. Then I can really let go. And not to forget: the ski holiday with family that is coming up, that will definitely give me some rest. That moment when I go down the slope, I really think about nothing.”

What kind of music do you listen to on the weekend? Calming or more active music to get into the party mood?

“Yes, Angus & Julia Stone is for me the perfect weekend music, especially their song ‘Grizzly Bear’; nice and relaxed and I can completely daydream with it.”

Your ultimate weekend outfit?

“I like to make a bit of an effort: currently, it’s a good flared jeans with a metallic blouse, leather jacket, and a little boot underneath.”
