THAT'S WHY BEING TALL IS REALLY FUN

“This girl has the longest legs in America,” I came across on the site of Glamour. No less than 1.25 meters and that's just her legs, you know, and folks, that's TALL. I used to feel insecure about my height often enough, since the measuring tape showed 1.80 m when I was 16 and I stood three heads above all the cute boys out there. Fortunately, I've gotten over that insecurity. In fact; I finally see that it can also be really fun. It took a while to embrace those advantages, but they are there:

– I could easily get into all the 21+ clubs when I was 16.

– On the plane, you have a reason to ask for an upgrade (legroom!). Not that it always works, but sometimes you get lucky.

– You can reach everything. Quite handy.

– At concerts, I can easily see the stage and the artist.

– You can drink more than when you're short. Now I'm not the living proof of this, but for most people, this is true.

– Ah! Tall people can eat a lot.

– Tall people are taken more seriously, as they are also perceived to be older. That's really true.

– And, also nice, men often find long legs very attractive.
