THE ALTERNATIVE CHRISTMAS TREE

Those red and gold balls are definitely over, that seems to me a clear story. There are also trends in the world of Christmas trees. Now I really understand that you just go for the original green tree, but there are also many, many alternative variants. For years now, I haven't had a green tree in my house. Also comes a point of ‘space shortage’ into play, but I once had a wooden Christmas tree in my house, a Christmas tree made of dry cleaning hangers, and last year I had the Polaroid tree which was extremely space-saving. Just as fun and just as special and cozy, but much tidier AND it saves a lot of vacuuming.

Christmas tree on canvas

I find this one from Ikea very funny. A canvas on which the traditional Christmas tree is printed, decorated, and lit, and you only need to hang it on a wall with a set of clothespins. Your room also looks a lot bigger and it saves a lot of hassle with setting up and taking down.

Christmas tree made of wooden beams

It might be a bit of a hassle to craft, but it looks extremely stylish and responsible, and you can still play around with balls, garlands, and lights. Moreover, this tree also has a spatial quality because it doesn't have such a huge full and dark effect as a green fir.

Christmas tree made from a ladder

For movers, a very handy idea. There are plenty of people who are in a huge renovation or too busy to drag moving boxes. To bring a bit of atmosphere to the place and the empty house, a ladder is very nice. Hopsa, a few lights in it, candles in it, and hang some Christmas balls on it.

Christmas tree made of paper

I think this is really cool. You can just make it on a lampshade and you fold two of those large sheets around it. You stick some stars on it (Hema has them in all colors and glitters) and your very responsible Christmas tree is born.

Polaroid tree

Last year I printed my favorite photos from that year (holiday snapshots and party photos; you know) in Polaroid format. I stuck them on the wall in the shape of a Christmas tree with a little tape. I’m definitely going to do that again this year because it looked really nice and every day I was reminded of the way too fun year I had. And in the new year, you only need to hang a few squares in a different spot and you have a nice photo wall.

Christmas tree made of branches

For the traditional Christmas tree lovers, this is a great alternative idea. The branches, but not the huge space that the tree takes up. Just stick the branches neatly on the wall with a level.

Tape

Maybe it has been a bit, a Christmas tree made of on your mouth; it's mainly about everything that comes after. The extensive evaluations are now temporarily set aside., but it has to happen once and it remains the easiest way to attach something to the wall and keep it cozy. And you can make it as colorful and crazy as you want. Securing garlands with a little tape is the easiest, and then you can of course fill it up with balls, lights, and who knows what else.
