THE BEAUTY TRENDS
A while ago, this huge book from M.A.C Cosmetics dlanded on my desk. Now I think that M.A.C has really cool collections, I mention a or the collaboration with Brooke Shields but they are also truly the masters backstage. Many makeup artists, like Lucia Pieroni, Charlotte Tilbury, and Proenza Schouler, Path McGrath work with M.A.C and create the most beautiful creations that then become a huge trend. So what will it be this spring? I'm going to tell you. The starting point for these trends are the most classic beauty items like.
and black mascara. Now we are going back to the classic look in this trend, but with a somewhat quirky twist. As Terry Barber, makeup artist, describes; “It’s all about the it-girl and not princessy or glamorous.” What you see a lot are extremely sharp lines with the eyeliner and heavily applied lashes or exciting line games with the liners. At the Altuzarra show, for example, the middle part of the lashes is especially emphasized with mascara, giving you a beautifully doll-like eye. Shows like Costume National and Pucci use mascara extremely, where the lashes can also stick together a bit. All to create a grand doll-like eye. For the sharp lines, you draw inspiration from Giamba and 'our' Iris van Herpen. For something extreme, you go to Jean-Pierre Braganza and Masha Ma. They also have eyeliners, but applied heavily and thickly. At Ann Demeulemeester, you also expect something more extreme, and you get it. It looks as if there is a smudge of mascara on the eyelid. Sounds bizarre, it is, but looks so cool. applying an eyeliner There is definitely a difference between the no-makeup look and this trend. This trend makes the skin glow, and shine and brightness are quite central. It’s like an angel. The look is clean, soft, and serene, but with a kind of shine that makes it heavenly. Sounds quite spiritual, but it’s really beautiful. It’s important to look at where the shine is applied. You don’t have to become a.
glowing ball at all. At shows like A.F. Vandevorst, Aquilano Rimondi, and Christophe Lemaire, the shine is, for example, on the eyelid with soft metallics. Donna Karan New York and Giambattista Valli beautifully bring the shine back on the lips and cheekbones, which has a very healthy and fresh effect. Issey Miyake also does it incredibly beautifully and gives the whole skin a soft glow. Especially on the nose, eyes, and lips, it is well visible. To keep everything in balance, the lashes are very matte. Of course, there must be a trend in between that is playful and where color is celebrated. So yes, this little trend is all about the festival feeling. Quite nice for all those.
parties that are coming this summer. Think a bit folk, a bit urban, and clownish in a new outfit. Go mix, don’t match. All colors can go together, and they don’t have to match at all. Now, all of this sounds like you’re going to walk down the street like a peacock. It can. It doesn’t have to. Look, the looks at Antonio Marras and Lulu & Co were also very playful with colorful dots and different colors on the eyes, but MaxMara and Holly Fulton do it a bit more subtly with a brightly colored line on the eyes. Even more subtle, but still colorful and playful, has been done by Tom Pecheux at Derek Lam, for example. He had applied a violet color on the eyes (which is, by the way, the color this spring). So it just depends on what you feel like. Feeling pastel, do that, but sequins can also definitely come out of the closet. I’ll conclude with the easiest trend on the list. No makeup. It sounds very easy, but you really need to have a damn good skin to carry this trend well. Now models have nothing to complain about that problem, we on the other hand.
slather and scrub ourselves silly for such a beautiful skin. Believe me. The shows make it seem like no makeup has been used, but there is really a makeup artist who has waved some brushes. The secret of this look is that it looks like all the models have had a little vacation and have come back sunkissed and full of freckles. Balmain and Blumarine have indeed used bronzer on the cheeks. So what to do? A vacation is possible, bronzer is a must, and especially good and moisturizing. Then maybe in a while, you really won’t need anything anymore. cleansing A while ago, this huge book from M.A.C Cosmetics landed on my desk.
