Easter with our vippies
Right now, I’m probably lounging on the couch at my parents' house, I think with a little fire on. On the table are still leftovers of the Easter bread that I keep grabbing a piece of candy from as I walk by. I hope my grandma makes a button on my trench coat (because it fell off) and repairs the hole in the pocket of my favorite shorts from Maje. Mom is probably in the kitchen making a freshly ground cup of coffee and dad is most likely sitting next to me on the couch. We chat and laugh. As always.
All my friends are having an Easter brunch, our editorial team is having an Easter breakfast, but what are the nice people who have been featured in an interview or lookie or whatever on Amayzine doing? I asked them.
“I’m celebrating Easter for the first time in Milan this year, so I have no idea what the tradition is here. Most of my friends go to their parents to celebrate Easter together. What I find special are all those super large chocolate Easter eggs in the patisseries and supermarkets in Milan.
My boyfriend and I haven’t really made plans yet, but we’re probably going to brunch with friends on Sunday and I’m flying to LA on the second Easter day.”
“I’m working really hard all alone this Easter. I need to finish my book ‘We need to tell you something’. The kids are with their dad, so I can finally get some work done. Maybe I’ll cook an egg for myself.”
“At a rather rare moment of being at home, it becomes a coming and going of family, friends, and carbohydrates. This all takes place in the new G’s in East, in my kitchen in Amsterdam, and in my parental home.”
“Sounds very boring, but I’m just busy with my book these days.”
