Things Coco loves

The happiness of Coco

Not a day goes by that I am not immersed in the world of Coco. I'm not talking about my lovely colleague, but about Mademoiselle Gabrielle Chanel. In the morning a spray of Chance, then a little bit of Les Quatre Ombres on the eyes and oh, I could make a daily schedule like this. From today I can add a little news to my Chanel ritual: Chance Eau Vive. We at the editorial office are already quite fond of everything Chanel Chance, but this one is a new favorite. May and I quickly snuck it into our bag to smuggle it home, because this is our little moment of happiness.

It probably won't surprise you that the series Chance by Chanel not without reason. Gabrielle Chanel also had her lucky charms and I naturally make an exception with love to let her, and happiness, be the center of attention in my column.

The four-leaf clover was a lucky charm. Now, it's not a very exciting story, but the fact remains that that four-leaf clover is extremely rare and finding it is considered a sign of luck. Seriously, over the years it was even thought that the leaf itself also brought luck. But if you dive a little deeper into the subject and the symbolism of the clover, it actually also symbolizes a passionate life. The clover plant grows very strong, so yes, you can make the connection yourself.

Grain is the symbol of abundance and generosity. Effort is rewarded by hard work. Mademoiselle Chanel wanted to have wheat spread in her apartment to always have it nearby and celebrate luck.

Because Coco Chanel was born under a lucky star, she loved to collect different ‘lucky charms’. She was very superstitious.

Now I am quite a bit susceptible to some superstition and I can tell you that my life has taken an enormous turn of luck since I first sprayed Eau Vive. Whoosh, I flew to Singapore and am now sipping on a cocktail, launching a children's book next week, haven't burned anything in the kitchen this past week, and everything else is going quite smoothly as well. You can bet that Chanel Chance Eau Vive really won't leave my side anymore. From now on, it is really
my lucky charm.
