THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AIRBNB'S

in Thailand

On December 10, I will board the plane that will take me to Sri Lanka. I will be playing there for a good two weeks to get back on December 26 in a new plane heading towards Bangkok. What happens then is still not entirely clear, but in any case, I want to chill incredibly for two weeks in a nice house by the beach to eventually fly back to cold and wet Netherlands on January 29. And because Real Estate Rasker has not opened its doors for a while, I am opening them today for our Thai branch. That's convenient for me, fun, nice, and inspiring for you, and everyone wins.

Look, this is a nice place, good for 10 people who can take a seat in one of the 6 bedrooms and powder their noses in the same number of bathrooms. You have a beautiful swimming pool on the beach and not only that; there is also a tennis court. If you really feel the need to hit a ball, you know what I mean. And since it should remain a vacation and cooking and cleaning really don't belong there, a cleaner comes twice a day and you have a Thai chef in the house. And all that for a meager €2873,-. Per night yes.

This cozy little house is called Villa Moon Shadow and won the Thailand Property Award for Best Villa Architectural Design in 2013. A nice little house indeed. And a big little house, too. Four bedrooms, four bathrooms, space for 8 people, nothing to complain about. Oh and: an infinity pool, tropical garden, full-time staff at home, a cook in the kitchen, and a “guest relation manager” who ensures that every little desire you might have is immediately fulfilled. Does that cost? €1892,- per night.

You think I only searched in Koh Samui, but that's not true. Apparently, the most expensive and beautiful houses are just there, nothing I can do about it. Anyway, this house then. Ideal for large families or groups of friends because you can fit 14 people in it. Right on the beach, in the southwest of the island lies this ultra-modern prince-like paradise. And especially for Jet, there is also a gym with a view, because exercising is just so much nicer, right? It will cost you €2680,- per night, but then you get something.

And again one in Koh Samui. The photos of this house are quite ugly, just like the interior. The view is great, but the reason this one is mainly featured is that it has a 78-meter long SLIDE. My goodness, this is really every child's wish! A gigantic slide! In your own pool! I really foresee endless fun. Furthermore, you can sleep with 16 people, spread over 6 bedrooms. AND A SLIDE! For just €1122,- that's really a bargain, you should never skimp on sliding.

Look, now we are going to talk about real prices. This little villa has 7 bathrooms, 8 bedrooms, and a total capacity for 18 people. There is an 18-meter long infinity pool, every room has super flashy gadgets, there is a jacuzzi, massage salon, amazing balconies, gigantic kitchen, and of course a whole battery of staff taking care of you. What does that cost, you want to know? Oh, then you should think of about €8593,- per night, which makes a two-week vacation cost about €120,302. By the way, you could also buy a nice little apartment on the edge of Amsterdam for that.
