Do the nails
– THE TRENDS YOU NEED TO KNOW –
On Friday we discussed the beauty trends of this spring, now I'm going to continue with the nails. It's a different field, because nails say a lot about you. Now every show has shown something different again, but we can also discover a kind of trends here.
Naked nails
Jonathan Saunders, Just Cavalli, and Daks all stuck to the nude palette. Now that light and natural palette did vary a bit. At Daks' show, for example, it was a nude metallic color, while at August Getty it was completely matte and at Blumarine the nails even got a transparent layer that made them look a bit like a French Manicure. So you can go quite a few ways as long as you keep looking in the light taupes and pinks.
Intense
Another nail trend that has been seen is the intensely colored nail. By intense, I really mean strong and intense. Bright red polish like at Ungaro or dark green combined with black at Giles. It can all be quite bold in color, as long as it maintains a high gloss level. A topcoat is therefore a good investment.
Tonal Pastel
The nails at Kenzo, Manish Arora, and Desigual were all painted in the pastel range. Although. Actually, they were more like little artworks in the pastel range, because if you can get this out of a pot in one go, I think that's quite impressive. In any case, you saw a lot of light colors like lilac, soft pink, and baby blue in combination with metallics for the edgy touches.
