The Omoda-Amayzine lunch

I actually never participate in like-and-win actions, but I would definitely have signed up for this one. Winning a fun and responsible lunch with a friend and both getting a pair of shoes as a gift. Who wouldn't want that? This nice idea came from our friends at Omoda (you know, that shoe empire with that super nice site) to pamper our readers and let them browse their assortment.

To keep it entirely in Amayzine style, Liesbeth and I scoured their site to ultimately choose six pairs of the cutest shoes for our readers. I went for the over the knee boots from Michael Kors and Lies threw in her leopard chelsea boots in the reprise and of course the Stan Smith sneakers couldn't be missing. These have been a favorite of Liesbeth's for a few weeks now. With the festive month in mind, we also chose black pumps (elegant and they are also comfortable) and for those who want to be just a bit more outspoken, a seventies inspired ankle boot in a cool red color with a heel you can walk on all night.

Now that Jet isn't really present at Amayzine HQ, but to stay in a healthy vibe, our marketing team Annick and Theo provided a super happy and healthy lunch of LITE/DARK, where the sweet potato/lentil/ginger power soup was especially a favorite. And what lovely readers we had. I sat very pleasantly next to a booker from Elite Models whose friend flies in business class with Emirates and lives in Dubai. There were also a number of Communication students, a really nice girl from Den Bosch who wanted to pamper her mother, and two sisters who turned out to be friends of our shopping editor Lilian (and no, this was really not a set-up).

As delicious as the food was, the absolute best part was when the lids of the boxes came off and everyone started trying on, judging, and walking around. Our fresh fashion director Simone Dernee also joined in to provide our guests with some customized fashion advice. Especially the girls who chose the chelsea boots or the red ankle boots got just that extra push from our Simone to go for the more extreme choice.

And then it was suddenly time to go home. With a satisfied tummy, a head full of inspiration, and especially a box full of shoes. It definitely left us wanting more and maybe you'll be there next time.
