Things that give me a sense of satisfaction
There are those moments when you are just incredibly content, it's something different than a moment of happiness. For example, when you finally put that letter in the mailbox that has been lying around in your bag for weeks. That makes me a very satisfied person for a moment, and at such a moment, I give myself a pat on the back. Even if I am incredibly late with it. Do you know that feeling? I'll give you some more examples where I think: “Ah nice, that's done again or what a nice feeling this is or this makes me a satisfied person.” We will be talking about trivial matters, so no difficult presentations or meetings you have held or led, because then you are just on top of the world, of course.
When I step into bed at night under a crackling fresh and clean bed linen.
I can also be incredibly satisfied when I step into a made bed at night. I don't always do that in the morning, you know. Ahem.
When I come home and the cleaner has been there.
A bit in the category of ‘having put the letter in the mailbox’: finally opening my own mail and immediately paying the bills. It can take forever until I do something like that. Fortunately, Liesbeth has that too, so we can support each other incredibly and agree when we haven't looked at that pile of mail for a month.
When you have cooked an incredibly delicious meal for yourself. And so NOT ordered from salad bar Venkel.
Waking up before the alarm (well-rested). Nice feeling, you know.
