THINGS THAT CROSS YOUR MIND
when you're in the gym
I mainly work out for an hour to clear my head. It works pretty well when I'm hitting a punching bag for 60 minutes. But when I train by myself, there are still days when you're too busy with other things and too many thoughts cross your mind. For example, when working out is tough or going really well. Like this (or am I seriously the only one?):
On days when you're struggling:
- “I really don't feel like this at all.”
- “That paperwork, I really need to start on that. Also really not feeling it.”
- “What do I look like in the mirror, I should probably avoid that today.”
- “Okay, nice dude.”
- “Time is going so slowly, I really need to make it through that hour.”
- “Oh jeez, there he is again. Such a show-off.”
On days when things are actually going really well:
- “Yes, themirror looks pretty good today.”
- “Wow, time is flying!”
- “Okay, nice dude.”
- “I'm definitely going again tomorrow.”
- “Oh jeez, there he is again. Such a show-off.”
- “This feels great, what should I have for breakfast?”
