This is how you pronounce things on the menu

part 2

Last week I wrote a post about how to pronounce words on the menu. Like a-vo-ca-do (as it should be) and aD-vo-cado (wrong!), remember? After that, my inbox filled up with even more things that people can pronounce incredibly wrong, so I think it's time for part two. My hair stands on end from this. Here we go:

Pronounce it as es-pres-so and not as ex-pres-so. This really happens a lot. Brrr.

Pronounce it as paa-prie-ka and not as pap-rie-ka.

This is pronounced as àn-trie-kó and not as àn-trie-kot.

Pronounce it as krá-vat-lax and not as grá-vat-lax.

This might be one of my favorites. You should pronounce it as sa-la-de nie-su-wa-ze and not as nie-koi-se. Yes people, it happens.

Pronounce it as bee-kel and not as bè-gel or worse: baa-gel.

Pronounce it as tar-bó and not as tar-bot. By the way, I also like to make this mistake.

Pronounce it as mo-rie-jes and not as mo-ril-les. By the way, these are mushrooms, but you already knew that.
