This year Lancôme turns 80. Now, normally 80 years is somewhat elderly, but when we talk about names in the beauty world, we are not talking about fossils, but about knowledge, quality, and thus a lot of beauty. Including this Miracle Cushion, which I personally find a gem from the collection. Why? I will tell you. 

What does it promise?

For Lancôme, the je-ne-sais-quoi style of the French woman is very important. No fuss, but still looking beautiful. This is encapsulated in this Miracle Cushion. It is not a foundation, not a compact powder, but something new in between the two. It looks like a powder box, but when you open it, it is a liquid foundation with a cushion on top. You apply it with the cushion, giving you a very natural effect in an easy peasy way. The product also promises hydration, a velvety soft skin, and a beautiful complexion. The texture is fine and soft like a serum and contains a high concentration of water and volatile oils that refresh and hydrate.

Josselin: “I found it a bit strange sounding; no foundation, no compact powder, but a soft cushion that provides a beautiful complexion. The box already makes me happy. Such a perfect silver/white box that looks like a powder box. When you open it, you see a kind of sponge cushion with a color foundation. It looks wonderfully soft, and since Lancôme promises a velvety soft finish, it must be so. I have used it in several ways. In the morning as a kind of BB cream and in the evening for coverage. Both work very well. What’s nice is that the ’cream’ is very light and fresh, but also feels fresh. Cool, therefore. That is definitely uplifting and you can see that on the skin. Additionally, it works quite amusingly. You dab the sponge on the sponge and then apply it to the skin. This way you can dose perfectly, you have no dirty hands, and the foundation blends beautifully with the skin. You can keep going as long as you want until you have the most ideal result. I am definitely enthusiastic. The texture is very nice, it blends incredibly well with the skin, and it has the perfect shades. Extra plus point; there is a nice and large mirror in the box so you can easily take it with you and have no excuse not to touch up your makeup. So actually, you will never catch me with a not-done look again. I am becoming so Parisienne.
