Uma trok een zellweger

The dust surrounding Renée Zellweger's face-gate has barely settled when another Hollywood star with a heavily altered face appears. Now, this transformation is not as dramatic as in the case of Renée, but still so intense that we thought we'd dedicate a little post to it.

Uma Thurman walked the red carpet in New York on Monday night for the premiere of her new series The Slap. The actress's appearance immediately became the talk of the day, because what on earth had Uma done to her face? Unrecognizable is somewhat exaggerated, but you do have to take a second look, and then you can't help but conclude that the Kill Bill-star has a new face.

For a layperson, it's hard to pinpoint exactly where the difference lies, and that's why various media have cosmetic doctors weigh in who have studied her remarkable face. That smoothed forehead is said to be due to classic Botox treatments. Furthermore, according to the experts, she may have had something done to fill in her bags under the eyes and probably quite recently, which is why things are still a bit swollen. And so speculation continues vigorously.

With a touch of nostalgia, we think back to the unique, quirky beauty that made her, among other things, the muse of Quentin Tarantino and the face of Lancôme. But we also hope that Uma herself is very satisfied with her recent ‘huisverbeteringen’ (and also that things settle down a bit).
