WHEN YOU BECOME SAD WHEN YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR
There are often enough moments when I look in the mirror and think: well, that looks pretty okay. In my house, I have one hanging that is a little bit darker than a normal one, so you quickly feel satisfied. I have certainly made the mistake of using that mirror to put on my makeup, and I won't do that anymore. By the way, it's not always the case that I look at my own reflection with satisfaction. In these moments, it's actually crying blown:
- What about the dentist? For example, when he holds up a little mirror to show you (for the thousandth time, by the way) how to best floss your teeth. I'm lying down, so here we go: hello double chin. Then there's also a kind of awful lamp directed at me with which you can see all the little bumps, pores, and spots. And last but not least I also look straight into my nostrils PLUS hair.
- Then we have the unfortunate selfie mode that I always get quite a shock from. In the morning, I leave the house feeling quite satisfied after I last looked in the mirror, but when I want to take a photo that day and my phone switches to selfie mode I could cry. So close up too! And often just in such an annoying pose from below. Hop, quickly away.
- Elevators are also incredibly awful. Why that bright fluorescent light from above? No one looks better under that. It’s allowed, but then don’t put mirrors in that elevator. I always look like a ghost. Even worse if you just had a party, then it looks like you’ve actually already died with dark circles around your eyes.
- Oh, then we have the last mirror that seriously makes me sad. The hairdresser. Especially when your hair has just been washed and you come back to the hairdresser's chair. With a towel around your head, it’s already terrible (when I do that at home, I always feel like it looks somewhat sexy) and when that thing comes off, I’d rather crawl away behind the mirror.
