4X BENEFITS OF BLUEBERRIES (WITH RECIPE)
The sweeter, the better. Of course. I use blueberries a lot in my smoothie, yogurt, and muesli, and I also sometimes add them to a salad. Take these berries generously, because they are really good and I will tell you why, with a recipe.
- Blueberries contain many antioxidants that protect against the DNA damage that occurs in our bodies every day. DNA damage is a major cause of aging.
- Antioxidants reduce the amount of oxidative stress in the body. Sounds like good news to me.
- Heavy training can cause muscle pain. Blueberries can help reduce that pain. So make smoothies for after your workout.
- Blueberries also help lower your blood sugar levels. That’s why this is a good fruit to start your day with. Fruits high in sugar can actually raise your blood sugar levels, which can lead to cravings. So keep it low.
For 1 pancake
1 egg
1 banana
25 grams of oats
cinnamon
a handful of blueberries
coconut oil for frying
Beat the eggs in a bowl, add the oats and mash the banana into it. Now add the blueberries as well. Voila, the batter is ready. Put a little coconut oil in the pan and when the pan is hot, add the batter. Fry until golden brown on both sides and you're done. A little cinnamon on top and some extra blueberries so it looks nice too.
