4X HERE YOU CAN SHOP ON SECOND CHRISTMAS DAY

Shopping during Christmas. I really find it super cozy. For years, my mother, sister, grandmother, (sometimes partners) and I would get in the car on the second Christmas day heading towards Belgium. During the day shopping in Antwerp, in the evening eating at a nice place and by the end of the day our car was barely able to move forward due to the excess baggage. You understand that I am talking about a family of women here. Have you actually not really made plans for next Monday yet? I tell you: go shopping. Now most stores in the Netherlands are of course closed tight, but hey, maybe that's a sign from above that we should just cross the border. I always convince myself on such days.

Antwerp

Antwerp has very chic stores that just have to be raided during Christmas. I think Flemish people are generally dressed a lot more elegantly than Dutch people, but that's beside the point. For the shoe junkies: go to Lombardenvest. In this street, you will find numerous boutiques selling the most insane shoe brands. For the shop till you drop crowd? The largest shopping street Meir of course (most stores are open between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM on the second Christmas day.) Is it too cold or is it raining? Then you should definitely go to the Wijnegem shopping center. On the second Christmas day, all 250 stores (yes, huge there!) are open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Be sure to grab a nice dinner at one of the restaurants there in the evening.

Galeries Lafayette – Paris

Ooh, there are quite a few shopaholics and fashion girls wandering around Lafayette around this time. Paris is of course also a terribly beautiful city to shop in, especially in the lead-up to Christmas. And actually, during this shopping trip, you don't want to go completely wild with small things, but rather take home one very precious item (I do that too in Paris) Hey, YOLO and all, buy the most beautiful bag in the city!

Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet- Lelystad

Fortunately, there is still something in our little cabbage country where we won't end up at a closed door. What do you think of our own Batavia Stad? I came here a lot when I was fourteen/fifteen and extremely brand-conscious, and then I didn't come here for years, but I recently discovered that with some searching you can really go home with super cheap gems. On the second Christmas day, the outlet paradise is open between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM and it is also beautifully decorated in Christmas spirit.

London (or other big cities in England)

Abroad, they don't know that second Christmas day at all, you know. In London, everyone goes completely wild on ‘Boxing Day’. The day after Christmas, the largest retail chains and most expensive department stores in England have a gigantic sale. Everything goes for a pittance. Then read here also immediately which department stores former London girl Simone recommends. Oh, and the pound is also favorable, so I say book that ticket. Come on!
