5 cool gifts for him after the birth

All nice and well those gifts for child and mother (also all incredibly deserved, bring on that birth gold), but how nice is it to give the new father something fun as well?

1. A barbecue

To affirm his masculinity and to ‘de-fur’ him a bit, a barbecue is a perfect gift. This way he can grill meat all summer for all the visitors and he makes himself useful with a more enjoyable task than sprinkling biscuits with mice.

2. A handheld vacuum

That's really the best baby gift in case you do serve biscuits with mice for example (which is a very bad idea, because recently delivered women have a fear of germs and those mice dance all over your room). Moreover, the baby will also knock everything over all the time and when he or she starts crawling, your wife will want the floor to be clean again. The handheld vacuum, in short. From now on it's the beer bottle in the left hand and the handheld vacuum in the right.

3. Good coffee

When I gave birth to my first daughter we didn't have any Nespresso machine. I don't understand why either, but it was so. We received a Nespresso from my partner's best friend and I thought it was a brilliant gift. It made my life easier, made our guests' lives more pleasant, and with every cup we thought of him.

4. A good casserole

The most underrated baby gift. Give food. Preferably well-prepared food. The mother has no time for that at all, but a working father doesn't either. He has to relieve his wife when he comes home, walk around with the baby in airplane mode, and tell his wife how amazing she is. And then casually put such a fantastic casserole on the table in between. She doesn't need to know that you made it.

5. A film camera

My partner received it from my father. The result is a drawer full of recorded tapes that we will watch one day, when the girls are grown up.
